A Poet's Grief 2.
📸 Shot By Matte Stories. (My Rhapsody Of Change) I am lost in lines, Where Poetry meets Bigotry. My Heart bleeds, As verses set me free. I mint words for free, Because that is where I am free, To tell my grief That stings. No matter, Why would it bother, If it didn't matter. Tell me, Uuhhm? The street walks, The Police beatings, The anti-corruption movements, The 'political' arrests. Why would it bother, If it didn't matter, To me and them and them, And her with a baby who couldn't see his father. Why would it bother, If it didn't matter To the common man who pays tax, To feed you pax. Hahaha! Treason? For making a walk to Parliament. Isn't it fun to say, Law has left here? I am lost in lines, Where Poetry meets Bigotry. My Heart bleeds, As verses set me free. © George William Ochago. @George The Tired Poet. 11th Sept,2024 00:15. (Midnight Prompt Poetry).
