📸 UBOS  I imagined me, Sitting, watching a household finish their lunch, Wash their hands,  Wipe their Mouths.  Then me, Salivating, swallowing.  Sticking my eyes on their throats, How they Galloped food down the oesophagus.  I then imagined me, Being a Patriotic Enumerator. Counting because I love my country. Because I love my Dear District,  Because I love my County, Because I love my Sub county,  Because I love my Parish, Because I love my Village,  Because I love my father's family.  I then imagined me writing a Poem today, For all suffering Enumeration officers. The independence Monument Speaks It All. Mtoto anayejiona yuko huru na mfungwa. Where did the freedom go? Where did the liberation go? Where are the Independence Heroes?  My body thinks it is free- But my mind  is in Prison- It is bound by the dictatorship. It is bound like that man- Kumwinua mtoto angani. Scared of telling him- 'We are forever prisoners'. Namshukuru muundaji wa mchongo huo, He had a vision- Ugandans will never be free. She will never go independent, With Juntas sitting on her- Her laps worn out from the corruption. Hey Mr Gun mtu, Nipe uhuru ninaotaka- I am not that statue. It is 60 Years today- You have 36 on your name, Ugandans have 18- You know where the 5 years went. Happy Independence Mr Oppressor, You are really 'a true' leader.
